BOARD BULLETS

December 20, 2010 Board Meeting

  • On December 16, 2010, Judge Janette Dunnigan issued an order denying the Plaintiffs’ motion for rehearing in the case of Smith and Denson vs. Trailer Estates.  This is now a final judgment in the case.  Judge Dunnigan also stated that any paragraph in the Plaintiffs’ complaint that was not specifically discussed in the final judgment was determined by the Court to have been insufficiently proven.  She also stated the Court reserves jurisdiction to award attorneys fees upon a showing of entitlement.
  • Pam investigated hiring Computer Assist to repair our office computers.  Their rate is $275 an hour covering four onsite visits and four hours of support.  She will investigate this further and will bring information to the Jan. 4 meeting.
  • New Years Eve tickets are still available.  Call Bev Salerno at 756-7678.
  • Decorations will be taken down Saturday, Jan. 8, at 8 a.m. in the Large Hall.  Please help if you can.
  • There will be a Weight Class Jan. 6 & 11, 2010, at 4 p.m. in the Weight Room.
  • There is a WII game chart for bowling in the office.
  • Trash contracts will be discussed at the Jan. 4 Board meeting.
  • Volunteers are needed at the pool in hopes of getting keys back.
  • RSVP volunteer groups should fill out their hour pages and turn them into Margo.
  • All additions or changes to the TE address book must be in the office by Jan. 10.
  • Check Channel 95 for pool openings and closings due to weather.
  • Recycling information will be in the January Tribune.
  • Though the cones are down on Florida Blvd. and 14th Street, nothing has been done to fix the problem causing tires to deflate.  Make a wide turn from 14th Street onto Florida Blvd.
  • Tribune articles must now be turned into the office by the first of every month.  The only exception is January since the first is a holiday.  Those articles are due Jan. 3.  Any article denied for publication will have an appeal process.  The Secretary Trustee or Designee will respond within 48 hours of receipt of the article with the reason for the denial.  The writer of the article then has 48 hours to appeal that denial and will come before a committee of the Board the third Monday of the month.  The committee will make the final decision on the article.  This new process will be voted on by the Board at the Jan. 4 meeting.
  • A chemical maintenance man will be hired at the rate of $10 per occurrence.
