RE: Kitchen Update/Administrative Complaint
KITCHEN—The District has
received an extension until mid-October allowing the Board to discuss options
prior to responding to the Administrative Complaint. The DBPR/Division
of Hotels and Restaurants is proposing a
settlement (click here) that would
correct the alleged violations. The proposed
settlement includes a fine of $650 and a license fee of $386, thereby settling
this Administrative Complaint and licensing the Trailer Estates kitchen. Another option that the Board could consider
is a hearing which would be handled by the Office of General Counsel,
At
a recent meeting there was concern expressed regarding thousands of dollars of
fines. As you can see, there is only a
fine proposed in the settlement option in the amount of $650. Again, this is only if we select the
settlement option as proposed.
Additional options will be negotiated through our attorney and may
reduce or remove the fine. As noted on
the cover letter,
As
mentioned in the Informational Report
dated July 25, 2010 (click
here) additional information has been given to our attorney which focused on
the issue of the advertisement and sale of food. This will be a matter that will have to be
resolved with the DBPR/Division.
I
will continue to provide updates when I receive any additional
information. Thank you.
